We have walked the Macmillan MacMarathon in the Gower for the last two years, to mark my progress on from cancer in 2015-16 and to raise money for Macmillan, who helped us when I had cancer.
Now I am feeling so much healthier, we want to continue to do a walk together each year to mark that and spend time together, but this year we are walking for another cancer charity dear to our hearts, CLIC Sargent, who support children with cancer and their families.
CLIC supported people I know and love when they needed it. I work with them in Parliament on raising awareness of childhood cancer - they helped me set up the All Party Parliamentary Group for children, teenagers and young adults with cancer and we are doing a parliamentary inquiry into patient experience of childhood cancer, for example, which should help to improve how children, teenagers and young adults with cancer are helped to get through treatment.
We are walking as a team so we can pool our resources and every pound you can donate will be helpful.
