Story
Ok so basically the aim is to raise as much for racing welfare as we can. It’s a charity that is close to all of our hearts and all, or some of us have, or will benefit from it in one way or another.
Here’s the plan...... Between the 3 of us our goal is to run 111 miles in 24 hours.
Why did we pick 111 miles ? As we are all part of ‘Team Green’ AKA Juddmonte, 111 is the current amount of Group/grade 1 winners that the company/Price Khalid has had in total. If this goes up in the meantime, so does our goal! We have worked out we each will have to run 37miles each to get to this target. Which breaks down as just over a mile and a half an hour for 24 hours.
Speed is not the key here, endurance is.
We are asking people to donate or come and support us as it’s not just to help the charity but it will keep us going when we’re feeling the strain. Come and run, bike, walk a circuit with us if you feel like you want to! It will take place in Cheveley and I’m pretty sure there will be a great need for champagne after!!
Racing Welfare are experiencing a significant drop in income as fundraising events and activities have had to be cancelled and with no idea when they might be able to start them up again. They are therefore looking at a loss of fundraising income in 2020 of around £500,000 at the present time.
Any help is massively appreciated. :-) Wish us luck!!!
