Story
In July 2019, George, Jamie and Dan will take on an epic 24 hour time trial. It will be the hardest challenge both mentally and physically any of them have undertaken – all in the name of Prostate Cancer UK.
Entirely unaided and completely self-funded, on Friday 5th July at 1:30pm, the trio will be saddling up in Tetbury putting all their training into practice, equipped only with what they can carry on their bikes. From there they will begin the 24 hour challenge with a 141 mile journey to Newhaven Ferry port before saying au revoir England! With only a few hours to rest their weary eyes and legs they will dock in France, in the early hours of Saturday morning. From Dieppe they’ll head 109 miles to the Palais de Chaillot - right in front of the Eiffel Tower. This second leg will be a true test of their grit as they race against the clock to reach the finish before 1:30pm (UK Time) on Saturday 6th July. The Eiffel Tower will be a sight for sore eyes and will be even sweeter as their better halves and families will be waiting to celebrate the achievement.
This monumental challenge will see us cycle 250 miles in the space of 24 hours. The goal is very simple – to raise as much money as possible to a cause close to all our hearts – Prostate Cancer UK. We have self-funded all expenses for the trip so rest assured every penny raised will go directly to the charity and will be massively appreciated by all of us, and most importantly by the charity.
We can’t thank you enough for donating it really does mean a lot to us and we will use all your help to motivate us when the going gets tough!
