Story
I am taking part in Via Ferrata Xtreme at Honister Slate Mine in the Lake District. It's said to be a challenging and for some (me) a scary experience involving vertical climbs, cliff edges, steep ladders, a cargo net and a Burma Bridge.

As it's going to be challenging for me, I've decided to see if I can raise some money. A few months ago we heard about the little girl (Louise) of one of Andy's friends who has been very ill since last year and is being treated at Alderhey Children's Hospital. Have a read below and please help me raise money for them.
In August 2013 Louise was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumour at just 8 months old. She had to undergo 4 weeks of chemo before surgeons could remove it. It measured 13cm x 13cm. 5 weeks later they discovered it had spread to her liver requiring aggressive and chemo and radiotherapy. They were given the awful news that Louise had stage 3 cancer. The tumour was caused by an underlying kidney disease which would cause kidney failure in the future and she would need a transplant.
Louise has spent months in hospital, has had emergency operations, a cardiac arrest and has dialysis 4-5 times per week after her remaining kidney was removed in May. She has been put to sleep over 30 times for various operations and treatments. Although her cancer is now in remission, she must wait 2 years before she is eligible for a transplant.
The family now want to give something back to Alderhey. They want to raise £500,000 for Alder Hey Hospital's D2 ward so they can buy new dialysis machines and other equipment.
You can donate on this page or text BSUK60 £3 to 70070 - The amount can be altered if you would like to give and more/less all is appreciated.
