Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My beautiful daughter Millie was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in December 2020 aged just 23. It is a cruel and aggressive cancer and she passed away just 10 short months later in October 2021 aged 24.
Millie spent the last 3 and a half weeks of her life at Marie Curie Hospice in Woolton. The staff looked after Millie, her sister Hope and me amazingly & I wouldn't have wanted her to be anywhere else.
However, just one 'day of care' at Marie Curie costs £6,778 and we wanted to raise money to help other patients and their families receive the love, care and support that we did.
From October 2021 to Millie's 25th birthday on 7th May 22, we have amazingly raised enough to 'Pay for a Day' of care. (See pics on my page). Thankyou to everybody who has given prizes, donated, shaved their head :), raised awareness of Bowel Cancer in our young adults and who helped in any way at all. Since then though, we have already been given even more money and more raffle prizes, so we want to continue raising money to pay for as many days of care as possible.
By donating, you will be helping Woolton's hospice to continue supporting patients and their families through all aspects of dying, death and bereavement and to fight for a society where everybody gets to have the best experience possible at the end of their life, just like my Millie did.
Your support could make all the difference to someone at the end of their life and also how their family are able to process and deal with it.
THANKYOU xxx
