Tesla Owners UK's nominated charity for 2021 is Bondh E Shams. This charity was chosen in memory of our much-loved member Nagib Hussain Ali (Naj) who sadly passed away in 2020.

Bondh E Shams develops and deploys affordable, scalable and locally-led water solutions in support of UN Sustainable Development Goals using renewable energy powered filtration systems. They believe clean water is a right, not a privilege, and with 1 in 10 people without safe water, there is an urgent need for ground-breaking innovations. 

Along with the health benefits that come from providing communities with access to clean water there is also a huge secondary benefit which is, you're also eliminating, primarily for young female girls, a day where they spend 8-10 hours walking to collect clean water, so you're really supporting equality of opportunities and education for young people. 

Bondh E Shams award-winning signature solution, the OASIS Box, has already provided 36 Million cups of clean water, alongside this the charity also provides data on each unit to allow donators to visually measure the impact their donations have generated.  Through the support of our members during 2021 we hope to help Bondh E Shams deliver millions more.
