Thanks for taking the time to visit our
Full Send to Lands End JustGiving page.
In June 7 lads from across Gloucestershire are undertaking an ambitious challenge to ride old 125 cc motorbikes from John O’Groats to lands end on minor roads i.e. the long way round (no motorways) approximately 1000 miles.
We are raising much-needed funds for two charities close to our hearts –Mind - and the Cotswold Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA)
I am supporting the Cotswold RDA as this is a charity that I know brings so much happiness to both the disabled and their families/carers
My late brother Steve was physically and mentally disabled ,as a child he loved ponies and would always want to go to our cousins smallholding and ride their pony apatchy around their small grass paddock this will live in my memory forever for the enjoyment and pleasure it brought to my brother and something he would ask to do again and again nearly every day !!!
Unfortunately as Steve grew and the pony never , He never had the opportunity as a young adult to ride again as the facilities were not available at that time
Since then charities like the Cotswold RDA have set up and strive to bring that pleasure with their facilities ,expertise, riding schools, instructors and volunteers that can provide the service required to create a feeling of freedom ,creating lasting memories and also put a smile on the riders and carers faces , Which I’m sure you will agree with that this is priceless
Any donation large or small will be greatly received by us all for our two nominated charities for which we hope to raise as much money as possible to enable as many children and adults to benefit from the funds that we raise.
Thank you very very much in advance for your kind donations
