Hi,

On 26th April 2009 I will be running the Flora London Marathon.

I will be doing this because for some strange reason I quite enjoy running through the winter nights in the freezing cold when I get home from work. 

More importantly I will be raising funds for equipment needed at the new Endoscopy Unit due for opening in the summer of 2009 at Basildon Hospital NHS FT.

The state of the art medical equipment will be used to assist in the treatment of bowel cancer and other serious conditions.

I have set a sponsorship target of £3k to support the cause which is double the amount I raised for the 2008 Marathon. I am relying on everybody's generosity to reach my total!

The money will genuinely help towards improving a vital local facility (if you live in Essex..) so all support is gratefully received.
