Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF LAURENCE LEVAN WHO SADLY LEFT US ON 28TH OF OCTOBER 2009 AFTER A LONG HARD FIGHT WITH CANCER, MAY HE NOW REST IN PEACE.
THERE ARE MANY WORDS AND WAYS TO DESCRIBE LAURENCE THOUGH NONE OF THEM SAY ENOUGH. I SHALL MISS AND ALWAYS REMEMBER HIS DEEP AND LASTING FRIENDSHIP.
I BELIVE WHILST LAURENCE LIVED NO ONE WAS AN ORPHAN.
Most if not all people who read this will know someone or have had direct contact with cancer themselves, for my part I have experience with both, through this I have seen the dedication and hard work that is given by all staff at all levels. My reasons for doing the Sahara challenge are to help support those people who support others and care for them and also a personal challenge for me. I don't expect it to be easy and over the coming months I will be preparing for the trek as well as fundraising. Please help with a donation no matter how small or LARGE and keep an eye on this page for photos and updates along the way. One more thing, although I have stated that I need to raise £2,300 that is the minimum and I would like to raise as much as I can with your help.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
I would like to thank all who have helped me get through the first £1000.00 barrier . It is very important to me and is another hurdle out of the way, now onto the next and beyond. Your help is valuable to me and Macmillan and thanks for spreading the word.
