We are entering this years Eastbourne Seafront Soapbox Race. To raise money for a great local charity. Children with cancer fund. Help us support their great work by sponsoring us today.

Children with Cancer Fund was formed in July 1998 and is made up of a small voluntary group of family and friends with the main thought being to enable the children, and families of the children with cancer, to have a quality of life that we would hope to have our selves.
Their aim is to grant wishes to children up to the age of eighteen, and their families, who have, or have had, caner and who primarily live in East Sussex, Brighton and Hove. Wishes can be practical, medical or fun and made to individual families as well as supporting a group together by giving them quality family time. They also support local hospitals and community burses who assist the care of the children under their remit.

The Eastbourne Soap Box Race is an annual Gravity Racing Challenge featuring a soapbox race between creatively home-made designed carts to see who can stay the course and be crowned the soapbox champion.

The event this year will take place on Eastbourne seafront, Dukes Drive and finish at Helen Gardens.

Spectators can come to this free event and watch these wacky creations as they hilariously whizz around corners, dodge hay bales and mount ramps with the hope of staying in one piece by the time they reach the finish line!

About the charity

CWCF was set up in 1998 by Ursula & Chris Downton with Kirsty & James Denny. Now, with the help of other friends and family, we still go out having fun raising funds to grant wishes to families that live in East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and who have children that have been diagnosed with cancer.
