Story
We're doing fantastic so far and thank you to everyone who's donated. Now the TdY is history this is the next big thing :-)
On the 5th April 2014 my nephew William Knight suffered a serious head injury in, what at the time seemed like, a very normal fall. The trauma that followed for our family was intense and it was only through the skill of the professionals at Sheffield Children's NHS trust that William is still with us today. He is still going through what will be a very lengthy recover process and regularly has to return to the hospital where his life was saved, but he is so much further on in that process than our wildest dreams could have imagined back in April last year.
After William returned home my sister's husband John, William’s father, and I spoke about doing a charity bike ride to help raise funds for the trust and for the various different departments within the trust who made their life more bearable during their ordeal. The timing last year just wasn't right so we put our ideas on hold until such time as John was in a position to be able undertake such a task.
So here we are today, nearly one year on from that fateful day and we would like to use our passion for cycling to help raise as much money as we can for this amazing hospital and all the support services it provides. Please give as much or as little as you possibly can as every penny will help save the lives of those children who are unfortunate enough to have to draw their services.
Thanks you in advance
