Yesterday was a great day weather wise although it was a bit hot for running. The Run itself was great with a fantastic atmosphere and Marc clocked up a very impressive 1hr 54mins which is an improvement on his time last year. I tried to keep on his tail but eventually the old legs couldn't keep up and I came in at 1hr 58mins. I am really chuffed though that both of us finished under the 2hrs and all the training now seems worth it.
Thanks to all of you who have so far generously donated, either online or via cash donations. As a result of your online donations we have now reached our target of £500 so that is great!
However, although we have reached the target it is not the ceiling to the amount that we hope to raise for New Struan so those of you who are considering donating please do so as all donations no matter how small make a big difference
Thanks again for all your support,
Terry & Marc

Myself and my son Marc will be running the Glasgow Half Marathon on 4th September to raise money for New Struan School - A Centre for Autism which is funded under the charity Scottish Autism. All donations raised will be donated directly to New Struan.
There are very few of us who are not in some way connected, either through a friend or relation, to someone with autism. It is a difficult thing to live with in our day to day lives and has a massive affect on everyone involved. That is why a school such as New Struan is so vital to the pupils who attend and to their families.
New Struan is an independent residential and day autism school for children with ASD, managed by Scottish Autism. The school is internationally recognised as a centre of excellence and the staff performs to such a high level an education programme that is designed to address the specific needs of each individual pupil, helping them to be as independent as possible and preparing them, and their families, for life after school.
If you wish to find out more about New Struan School, or the charity Scottish Autism as a whole, before making a donation then please follow the link below which will take you to their website.
