As at 31st December 2014, a total of 453 British forces personnel or MOD civilians had died while serving in Afghanistan since the start of operations in October 2001.Of these, 404 were killed as a result of hostile action.
Rarely you hear about the 7,400 aeromedical evacuations have taken place for UK military and civilian personnel injured or ill in Afghanistan.
Many of these young service personnel are in their early twenties and will be scared both mentally as well as physically for life.
We, as a nation, must look after these brave Heroes as they have looked after our interests.Our wounded have given their all and I will continue to support them as their continuing needs change..
