Story
This year I am going to participate in 3 amazing challenges to raise money for Hayley's Hugs, who support the Neonatal unit at The Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
On 24th July 2011, Hayley Marie McMinn was taken from her friends and family in a tragic accident. Since then, her family have kept her spirit as alive as ever and raised money for worthy causes in her memory.
Hayley's hugs have undertaken some amazing challenges since Hayley's passing and I want to help keep that going!!
The swim dates include the following :-
Saturday 2nd February - Chill Swim @ Windermere
This is a 30metre competitive breast stroke challenge, with a catch. I will be entering the water of Lake Windermere without a wetsuit. This is a non-wetsuit event which means nothing but a standard costume and swim hat!
Sunday 16th June - 12 noon - Great North Swim @ Windermere
This is a 1mile swim in Lake Winderemere, in which I can wear a wetsuit! The colour scheme for this is PINK! everythink including costume, swim hat, goggles, wetsuit and supportive friends will be pink!!
Sunday 28th July - @ Halton Training Camp - River Lune
This is again another 1mile swim with a wetsuit in the river lune, beginning near the Halton Army Training camp. As with the great north swim this is an ALL PINK event!!
Every penny raised will be given directly to the Neonatal unit to help support parents and babies in need! If you can help in any way please do, every penny counts!
Please help us to raise awareness and support this worthy cause, Hayley would be proud of everyone who can offer help and support!!
