Hello Friend!

I want you to meet two pieces of my heart – Zoe and Zeb! (PLEASE SEE GALLERY PHOTOS)  15 years ago my life changed in a way I could never have envisioned.  I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee and became the director for Bethany Christian Services.   I knew very little about working with women in a crisis pregnancy or infant adoption.  But God had a big plan for me.  I met incredibly selfless women, who loved a little child more than they loved themselves and made the difficult decision of placing them with a loving, Christian family.   I met families who could love children that were not biologically theirs, in a way that only God could put together a family.  

Zoe and Zeb have two different birthmothers and I was blessed to be a part of both of their adoptions from the very beginning.  This first picture is of them stopping by my office in Knoxville to say goodbye as I relocated back to my home state and became the state director of North Carolina five years ago. 

In February of this year, I saw them again at a friend’s basketball game in Knoxville.  Totally unplanned, God gave me the chance to see the beautiful children these two have become, how they each know their adoption story and what a great job their adoptive family is doing in raising them to love the Lord. God has been so faithful to often let me see “the rest of the story” and to reconnect with pieces of my heart. Because for every child, woman and family I have had the unbelievable blessing of working with in the past 31 years, they have become the mosaic that is now my heart.
