Bernie was a remarkable woman and indeed a "Mum to so Many". I was very fortunate to work and live alongside her in Harvey House, Kings School for many years.

Bernie fought breast cancer for many years with indomitable spirit and incomparable good humour. She smiled to the last and left us on her terms, proving that she in the end has won. It is with her humanity and her strength in mind that we request donations to this more than worthy cause. It is a cause that fortified and inspired her as the battle grew harder and, ultimately, allowed her those precious few years more for which we are so grateful.
