Story
Thank you all for visiting my fundraising page! August 8th will mark the 5th anniversary of my dad Larry's death due to Prostate Cancer. In his memory and to set myself a personal challenge on Sat 1st August I am doing the London Triathlon. On the day I will be swimming in lovely Thames water, cycling and running. To kick myself into shape I have joined the Windrush Triathlon Club, so far I am loving club training sessions most weekday evenings and saturday mornings you will find me training at Brockwell Lido. By August here's hoping that I will be fighting fit and ready to take on this challenge.
The Prostate Cancer Charity is close to my families heart, the founder Professor Jonathan Waxman, one of the world leading specialists, was my dad's consultant. We are all extremely grateful for the personal care he and his team gave our father during his terrible illness. We were also thankful for the personal letter of condolence, which was read out at dad's funeral. Professor Waxman and his team are doing some amazing work at Hammersmith Hospital , as well as striving to find a cure they also offer great support to sufferers and thier families, also continuing to raise awareness of this cancer amongst men. I am not setting a fundraising target, participation in this event and all related costs are self funded, am just happy to help raise whatever I can, so any donation no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so much for all your support. I look forward to having a good few glasses of wine with some of you when I finish on August 1st! Xxxx
