I am raising funds to donate to The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, as they did such an amazing and wonderful job of looking after my Mum, Teresa, in her final few weeks.

The staff and quality of care here is unbelievable, and they made her so comfortable, and happy. She had her own room where she could watch the birds and the squirrels, and listen to soothing music, while the close family visited her.

Mum unfortunately lost her battle with cancer, after undergoing numerous bouts of Chemotherapy, and Radiotherapy.

Mum was a well known and loved person, as she worked in my shop, @#1 High Street, Kings Lynn, for Smiths the Bakers. She had run the shop for me for a few years, since opening and made good friends with the customers and regulars.

Mum was formerly Mayoress of the Borough of West Norfolk, alongside my Dad Paul Brandon. Mum used to attend almost every meeting and event with my Dad, so has made many friends over the years.

I am running this 5K with some amazing close friends and family, and I couldn't have got through all of this without them, so to have them alongside me as we try to raise as much money for Norfolk Hospice as possible, is very fitting.

If you know my mum, or me, or any of my friends that are doing this with me, please find it in your hearts to give generously, and donate, to such an amazing cause.

Services like this should be available to everyone if they need it, and can only exist with the support of people like us, doing some fundraising and helping them out.
