Story

As many of you know I am not a runner but decided to set myself this challenge for my 60th year! Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing childrens lives through medical research. For 65 years they've helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Their research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But they urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and they cant do it without you.Join our fight for little lives. In 1968 my brother Daniel was born, and he was very poorly as a young child. He was taken to Frenchay in Bristol when he was 18 months old and as in those days there were no scans he had to have a major brain operation to see what was going on, his tumour had  been bleeding and left him with a left sided paralysis. He then went onto have radiotherapy and many more operations over the years, including leg lengthening and tumour debulking Sadly, he passed away in 2002 at the age of 34 from a recurrence. Thank you for visiting my sponsorship page.
