On the 30th July, 2010 we will be attempting to complete four rounds of golf in just a day to try and raise as much money as we can for Macmillian Cancer Support.

For those of you that know me, you will know that this charity is very close to my heart after my personal experience with Cancer in late 2007 and this is the first time that i have attempted to raise money for this worthwhile cause.

The help and support that they give patients before, during and after their ordeal is first class and long may this continue, helped by fund-raising events like the one we are attempting later this month.

This event is being held at Worldham Golf Club in Alton who have very kindly put together a very generous package for the whole days golf totalling 72 holes and walking the best part of 23,500 yards in the very unlikely event that we hit all of our shots straight!!!!!

Our aim is to tee off at 5.00a.m giving us the best chance of completing the challenge which we expect to take 16 hours, making our estimated finish time 9.pm.
