Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for Make-A-wish charity by taking part in the Ultra Lake Distrcit Challenge. I will be walking 28km from Kendal to Ambelside (Windemere)
I have never done a challenge like this, so hope my legs will allow me to complete this challenge as those that know me I'm not a gym freak nor do i exercise. I class playing badminton once a week is all i need to keep me fit ( I know you guys are laughing).
When deciding what my first fundraising activity would be, i searched the internet for inspiration. I thought why not go out of my comfort zone and walk the beautiful hills with some friends who have never done anything like this before.
All the money raised will be spent on a Critical ill child to make their "Wish come true"!
I chose Make- A-wish as my chosen charity as i remember what it was like being a child and asking my parents to take me to places or to buy me something and they never hesitated as they loved to see the smile it bought to my face. "Priceless". I was fortunate enough but those parents who have a Critical ill child and have medical bills or day -to- day expenses may not be able to fufil their childs wish.
You may say there are many charities out trying to help all types of people, but for me Make- A -wish stood out. One that leaves a "Long lasting impact" on a child who has endless hospital visits , greulling treatments and brings a family together is something that brings tears to my eyes.
One simple wish can come true with all our support and help the child look past their condition and gives hope for the future! Why wouldn't you want to be part of that?
All i ask from you is " Let's make child's wish come true"
