The Fair Earth Foundation CIO, a registered UK charity, runs in the first week of every month a special challenge to climb Mt Teide, the third highest volcano in the world. This is a gruelling, arduous challenge but the view at night of the stars and the breaking dawn over the magnificent crater make it consistently the single best experience of our volunteers in Tenerife over the last thirty years- thousands have taken up the challenge!!

This month I am fundraising for ARCHELON (the sea turtle protection society of Greece) through the Fair Earth Foundations monthly global citizenship fundraiser. I have worked for ARCHELON for the last three years and have seen first hand the amazing work that they do. I have also seen the desperate need for more funding and resources so that we can protect this species to the best of our ability.
