We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

6 years ago our family was dealt the sad news that mum had developed the early signs of Alzheimers at the young age of only 58 and was diagnosed with 'Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease', Early onset also unfortunately translates as rapid progression.

Whilst there are moments where mum is still mum, there are too many days where she is in her own world and not ours.
As much as we raise on this run and all the work my brother and his wife also do for the Alzheimers society we know it won't change the outcome for our family, however as in many other illnesses the one thing we want to do is make sure other families don't have to experience the same.

The worst thing would be if anyone donated because they felt obligated to, so please please only give if you can afford to and want to.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
