"Teena horse here. I own this Maid along with the 11 cats she and the butler also work for and various Cats Protection felines they provide temporary hostel care for until new butlers and maids are sourced for them (8 here at the moment). She tells me she is doing a walk hoping to raise funds for Cats Protection, World Horse Welfare (where I came from) and also a human charity called Multiple Sclerosis Society. Apparently Multiple Sclerosis is one of those odd and unpleasant disease things humans go in for and the maid says she feels very lucky as she was first diagnosed nearly 29 years ago and although she can't run any more or walk too far she can walk! She also said she ran 26 miles and finished 3rd in the 1982 Liverpool Marathon. Didn't like to hurt her feelings but that was an awful long time ago...not sure my grandmother was born then! Also she must be quite old...most of her fur is grey now...Anyway I wondered why she was telling me all this until she told me that WE are walking 26 times round my paddock which at 240m works out at 6.2 km or 3.8 miles. Apparently I have to walk on the outside but when I protested she pointed out my legs are longer and I do have 4 of them...fair point.
So "we" plan to do this on Sunday 26 Apr 2020 at about 12 noon. Pictures will be taken by the Fundraising Coordinator for Sleaford CP (usually good for a few mints...) If you could afford even a little money towards sponsoring the effort it would be much appreciated. One of the reasons we are doing this in my paddock is that yet another nasty disease you humans go in for is raging at the moment called Covid-19, the maid can't leave the premises at the moment and all charities have lost a lot of their summer fundraising. You see me here showing off some kit...I protested it was all too small but the maid said it was just for explanatory purposes whatever they might be... "
