My mum, Elaine, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma 2 years ago. It was a shock for the whole family. 

Since then she has had 6 rounds of Chemotherapy and a Stem Cell Transplant - it is 1 year since her SCT and because of the current treatments available she is now in remission! 

My mum sought support from Myeloma UK especially when she was first diagnosed and has raised money for the charity herself. 

Our family want to continue to support the research into Myeloma with the hope of extending people’s survival and maybe even one day finding a cure!

So I decided to put myself through 26.2 miles of hell to try and do my bit!
