Story
As many people know my charity marathon attempts were derailed this year by multiple things.. However... I am now supporting a friend in his and will be running the Virtual London Marathon to tick an item off the bucket list. Please find his story below and sponsor Stafford in his race!
Welcome to a page that I hope will help in funding research into finding a way to improve the lives of those with pancreatic cancer after me, to have a better chance of survival.
If you are here, you are now aware I am running the London Marathon on the 4th October. Yes, legit, the whole 42Kms. What better way to celebrate 6 months of a short term terminal illness and chemotherapy. No, I am not going to LONDON, I am running/walking/crawling it in Adelaide, via a virtual link to the event in London.
Yes it is going to be hard, but it is a way of me ticking a life goal, showing cancer it can get F**KED, showing my Oncologist that I will make it past my 12 month diagnosis. Some of you have said I may be a little crazy or a little stubborn, this may go a long way to prove your point, however, I have two amazing friends joining me, so surely they are crazier than I am!!!
SO why, why not? It is not to prove I am strong or to show my doctors I am going to prove them wrong. It is to help others like me, inspire others, and show that nothing is impossible...I hope, and simply...well, "F**K Cancer"!
