Hi, thanks for visiting our page. It means a lot to us all.

Together the five of us as a team are hoping to raise as much as we can, every penny that we can raise will go towards the work that the Peace Hospice does. Each of us has our reason for doing the Starlight Walk this year.

For everyone that knows Cath & Gill and our family they will know that our stepdad Dave was our mum's soul mate. In August 2009 Dave was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given a few months but he told mum that he would see her at Christmas so that he could give her a great big kiss! He passed away on Boxing Day 2009 but still, every day our mum says morning, hello honey and goodnight to him yet she knows that he will never reply to her again.

She had the help and support (and she still does) from the staff and volunteers from the Peace Hospice and this means the world to her and us, this why we are doing this to help as much as we can to help others. We owe so much to the Peace Hospice; they not only did the hospice look after Dave but also our mum during his ill health and eventually his passing to his life without pain. Sadly his life without pain means he is no longer with us, but knowing that he is no longer in pain means more to us than anything.

We all miss him every day but knowing that Dave and Mum had the help and support from the Peace Hospice and the staff means the world to us all and knowing that we can be helping others means lots more, more than words can explain.

No one could ever pay for the support that the Hospice provided and continues to provide for our mum and each and every other family that uses and has used the hospice this is our way to help!
