Story

In April 2021 the brightest bulb burnt out when we suddenly lost Benjamin Clifford Russell to an undiagnosed heart condition. Ben (aka B-Ronts/Captain Glaze) was funny, kind and caring; he meant so much to so many.

In memory of Ben and to raise funds for the charity ‘Cardiac Risk in the Young’ - Bek, Emily, Joe, Sam, Tori, Andy Jenkins and Andy Smith will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on the 3rd Sept. This is a 24mile trek with a 1585m (5200ft) ascent that we hope to complete inside 12hours. During the long slog to the summits we’ll reminisce over our treasured memories of Ben and recount many a funny tale along the way.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
