Story

It's been two years in the making (originally in the diary for March 2020) and more line-up changes than Sugarbabes, but it looks like this time we might actually make it to the start line, and perhaps even the finish line!

Thank you for supporting our Sheffield half Marathon challenge for Cavendish Cancer Care. Cavendish is a local independent charity that supports cancer patients and their families. Last year they supported more than 1900 local families both in their Wilkinson street base (the Tim Pryor Centre) and directly on the wards at both Weston Park Hospital and at the Palliative Care unit at Northern General Hospital.

Every one of those people were able to pick up the phone and get an appointment within 5 working days enabling them to access a free of charge package of care and support centred around their needs.

Cavendish receive just enough statutory funding to keep doors open for about two weeks each year. Put simply, Cavendish wouldn't be here without the support of the local community, so please sponsor the team every penny you can spare to contribute to this fantastic cause.
