Polly and Nat are going for a very long walk!

Trek26 North York Moors - 26 miles · 22 July 2023 ·
Polly & Nat (Team Nolly!) will be dusting off their walking boots & trekking 26 Miles in one day across the North York Moors on 22nd July to raise money for Alzheimer's Society!
Nathalie's dad died in February 2023 after a long battle with a rare form of early-onset dementia called Posterior Cortical Atrophy.
After running the London Marathon last year for the same cause, Nathalie is teaming up with one of her closest friends Polly for a new physical adventure in the beautiful North York Moors. Same distance, better views, slower pace, and a much more difficult terrain. Will this be more challenging?
About the charity:
Alzheimer’s Society are a vital source of support for everyone affected by dementia, providing services, research and a powerful force for societal change. Donating to support this wonderful charity, in its research and the provision of services, that mean it can be there for the people who need them most, and so that people facing a dementia diagnosis won't be alone.
Here are some examples of what your donation will support:
- £300 means over 1,800 people can access Talking Point, our online forum. Here people can learn from each other experiences, share their frustrations and their knowledge of local services.
- £95 provides a telephone-based Dementia Adviser for a full day. Providing essential support to those affected by dementia
- £15 turns four ordinary citizens into superhero Dementia Friends! There is a stigma attached to living with dementia and Dementia Friends facilitates societal change, helping people understand the impact on people’s lives
- Enhancing the £150 million that Alzheimer's Society are investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.
