Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a group of people with one thing in common - Amanda Merrick!

She has brought us together by fair means or foul to raise funds for a charity close to her heart by taking part in the BUPA Great Manchester Run 2011 or in the case of Jon Ward the Richmond 10K 2011 - she won't even allow the excuse of living in London!!

Worse still she has arranged weekly training sessions on Sunday mornings at 10am (Jon excepted!) - what kind of person would do that???  The photos tell their own story!

Some of us will be walking the course, some will be trying to run it and others will be hoping to better their time from a previous year. Whatever our individual aims we are all committed to raising as much as we can for our chosen charity.

BASIC is affiliated to the Greater Manchester Clinical Neuroscience Centre and works in close collaboration with the staff there to meet the needs of patients within the community. They offer 30 rehabilitation services to individuals and families that are largely left to cope on their own with the consequences of brain and spinal injury following discharge from hospital.  Fund-raising accounts for 90% of the money BASIC needs to remain operational so please give generously.  Your donation really means something to them and makes a valuable difference.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - weraise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!

With a very BIG thank you from TEAM MERRICK
