On the 30th September our family will be taking part in the Walk of Hope in Hamilton.

Max, our beloved cousin and nephew sadly lost his incredibly brave brain tumour battle on 13th July 2023, just nine days after his 19th birthday.

Brain Tumour Research is a charity very close to our family’s hearts, as our Granny/Mammy, Margaret, passed away in 2008 at only 67 from this horrible disease. And tragically our Auntie/Sister and Max’s mum, Angie, also lost her brave battle just a year later at 36. The odds of this happening to our family twice, let alone three times is less than one in a billion!

Max was extremely strong and upbeat throughout his illness. He faced his diagnosis head on. Fighting with courage, determination and dignity way beyond his years until the very end.

That is why we, as a family, are embarking on this Walk of Hope.

Any donation no matter how small is greatly appreciated!

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
