We raise funds for Childrens Intensive Care to buy equipment and support the families

Story

We are fund-raising for four different charities in memory of Max - please see our team page by following the linked text above "In memory of: Maxwell Quilter".

The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit took care of Max following his surgery to correct his TGA.  Their wonderful team of nurses (Claire, Luke, Lee-Anne and Harriet) provided the specialist care he needed following this huge surgery and took as much care of us.

Sadly Max was to return to PICU 10 weeks later when a team collected him from Queen Alexandra Hospital A&E to return him to Southampton for the specialist care they are able to provide.  We took some comfort in seeing familiar faces and also met many new ones whose names we can't even begin to remember.  These wonderful people (led by Peter and then Michael) supported us through the most difficult decisions we will hopefully ever have to make, as well as doing all they could for Max.
