Team Lockyer Festive Fundraiser - Christmas gift with a purpose , 22 December 2017
Classrooms for kids
Campaign by Children Of Watamu (RCN 1098731)
We need to build two new classrooms by the start of the new academic year in January, 2018, to ensure that we have room for all our students.

Story

We are firm supporters and have seen and immersed ourselves first hand into the marvellous work in giving kids the best chance in life, with education and love at the heart of our purpose. As we are away for Christmas, we hope friends and family will consider making a donation instead of sending cards and gifts to us. Children of Watamu Happy House puts hope into the hearts of kids plucked to safety from the scrapheap of life.Up to 100 children find love and family in our children’s home in Watamu, Kenya, founded and run by Sue Hayward ad her charity.Happy House has added kindergarten, primary and secondary schools which also educate kids from the local community, most from abject poverty, who are on free place scholarships.Happy House depends entirely on its child sponsorship scheme (we always need new sponsors for our kids) donations and fundraising.

Children of Watamu has, since 2000, been transforming children's lives. The Happy House, opened in 2010, is home and family to more than 100 children-orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected. We have added a high-achieving kindergarten and primary school and secondary school.
