Story

Team Ladyhawke - our merry band of adventurers setting out on the quest for Mount Do.... wait.

In reality, instead of destroying ominous jewellery, Team Ladyhawke are the friends and family of team member Hannah, and together they are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of Turning Point Talking Therapy.

Hannah's Story

When my situation became too much to handle alone (according to statistics from Mind, one in four people in the UK will suffer with a mental health problem in any given calendar year) a counsellor from Turning Point helped to guide me through and to start the process of putting my life back together. Recovery is a work in progress, but I would categorically not be where I am now without their help.

Taking on a big physical challenge - after years of being told I was not capable - is the next step for me (24 miles worth of steps, to be exact!) and being able to do this in such a way as to give something back to a service who made an immeasurable difference to my life is a wonderful opportunity.

I am very fortunate to have the company of Team Ladyhawke - my family and friends - on the challenge, the people without whom I would also not be where I am now.

"It matters not how strait the gate
How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul."

Invictus - William Ernest Hedley
