Having had two uncles suffer as a result of differing brain tumours, it seems appropriate that this year's run is our opportunity to support the charity, Brain Tumour Research.
In 1991 my uncle, Richard Jeffery, sadly passed after being diagnosed with a glioblastoma. 25 years later, in May 2016, Richard's brother Michael was diagnosed with an astrocytoma. Michael bravely fought the illness for a tough 18 months, but sadly lost his fight in December 2017.
As this is a cause very close to our hearts, the family are keen to do what they can to support Brain Tumour Research in the hope that we can contribute to the valuable work that is looking for ways of preventing similar suffering in the future.
