Story
Back in May of 2018 our son Jack (aged just 15) was diagnosed with Diffuse Midline Glioma which is an aggressive cancer of the brain stem. After several operations and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, sadly the cancerous infection, returned home with his family around him. He is our hero x
Jack enjoyed his time at home we were comforted in the knowledge that Jack was completely pain free. He was mostly asleep but we still enjoyed the occasional glimpse of his cheeky humour and wonderful smile.
Jack sadly passed away on October 26th, surround by his family.
I personally had never realised the number of supporting services that play their part when supporting families that are desperately in need. CLIC Sargent have taken the pressure off the immediate family by liaising with schools, applying for various benefits & grants, offering support and advice for siblings and parents...... stuff you hope you'll never need to do.
Supporting CLIC Sargent will ensure this service continues to be available for families in the future. They are a charity and solely rely on donations, please dig deep.
I'm taking part in the Outlaw Half Holkham Triathlon in July 2019. I'll be doing this with my good friend Dan Janes (although seriously I'm not sure how he convinced me to sign up). There will be lots of training events in the run up with the main event and I will keep everyone updated through this page.
