Story
On 28th April 2012 our eldest son Harry was diagnosed with leukaemia we cannot begin to describe the pain, shock and fear as a parent to discover your son has cancer. It broke our hearts and turned our world upside down.
Harry is doing really well, he has completed his 3 years of chemotherapy and no longer
has to take any medication. He is in remission and we pray everyday for this to contiinue.
As tough as life has been for us all as a family it has been so much tougher for our brave boy Harry, everyday he wakes up with a smile on his face. He and all the other children we have met on this crazy journey are our inspiration, and reminds us to live in the moment and keep smiling too!
Candlelighters is a charity specifically for children with cancer in Yorkshire. Candlelighters provides many of the essentials that the NHS can't afford like family support, ward equipment and research.
