Story
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit our fundraising page.
We are a small team made up of 6 not so finely tuned athletes, raising money by bike riding over 313 miles on HTFC's Pedal for Pounds 10 with 50% of all donations going to the Air Ambulance and 50% to the Town Foundation.
The ride will start in Huddersfield, then travel by Ferry to Belgium and on to Amsterdam, back to Zeebrugge before the final leg from Hull to Huddersfield.
This year the Town Foundation have elected to donate one third of monies raised to Ruddi's Retreat. The Retreat is particularly important to us as this is a charity set up by members of our family which provides holidays for families whose children are suffering from the effects and after effects of
- Cancer Treatment
- Life Limiting Illnesses or
- Bereavement.
In order to help the Retreat provide greater opportunity for children and their families who need support, we are willing to sacrifice lots of bum agony, tired legs and general discomfort to raise as much money as we can. Your help is vital and we will be grateful for any support given however big or small your donation is. Please give as generously as you can afford.
Mike Daley and Andy Nelson are making their way on the 7000 mile round trip to the UK and Europe from sunny California, giving up their holiday time and at their own expense to raise money for these vital causes. Now that's commitment ! They will be joined by Andy's brother, two Uncles and an Auntie.
