Story
Taking part in a charity event can be one of the most rewarding things you can do, that's why the whole GBSS team has committed to the 100k My Way challenge this July.
To reach our 600k team goal, we will all be walking, jogging, cycling (sadly, no one’s up for swimming this time round!) and even using the elliptical trainer to cover the distance.
Introducing Team GBSS
Jane Plumb, Chief Executive and Founder - Elliptical trainer
Jane Grout, Fundraising Manager - Cycling
Oliver Plumb, Advocacy and Information Manager - Jogging
Kelly Robinson, Communications and Social Media Manager - A combination of all
Sam Knight, Helpline and Information Officer - Jogging and a few walks to get the kids involved
Emily Robertson, Accounts Assistant - Walking
We would be super grateful if you could support us in whatever way you can, whether it’s making a donation to help us meet our target, joining us as we cover some of our kilometres, or maybe even signing up to the challenge yourself https://gbss.org.uk/events/100k-my-way-in-july/.
On average in the UK, at least-two babies a day develop a group B Strep infection, one baby a week dies from their GBS infection, and one baby a week survives with long-term disabilities physical, mental or both. Together we can make a real difference and help improve awareness of group B Strep.
Please support us if you can.
