Having done the first Frostbite Challenge last year as an incentive to keep swimming through the winter it was such an amazing experience I wanted to keep going and do it again.

This year I've challenged myself to do twice the number of swims and raise money for Genesis as well as Young Lives Vs Cancer. 

Wild swimming helped me so much throughout the lockdowns in 2020. I acknowledge this is a big part of what contributes to my mental health and was a real highlight of last winter. 

I really admire the work of Genesis in the city of Bath for all that they do to help with those struggling with multiple challenges in their lives. I feel proud to a small part of it working with the Life Skills team.

The other day when I said to a fellow swimmer "my friends all think I'm mad" and she responded with "no we are Life Affirmers". And I thought YES. This is so life affirming and that's what Genesis do too. They are life affirming to people and call out the big YES over their lives.
