We have an incredible group of #WishHeroes who will be taking on the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon. Together, we will create joy, happiness and magical memories through life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Story

On the 7th April 2024, a team of seven middle aged men, varying in fitness levels from 3 hour marathon runners to 3 hour 5k runners, ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon while pushing Evie 13.1 miles in her specially adapted wheelchair in 2 hours 17 mins.

Evie is the happiest of 11 year olds, however, several years ago she was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disease which means her body is slowly shutting down on her. Evie has experienced and we have seen first hand the great work Make a Wish carry out and as a result we would like to raise funds for this amazing charity.

We had a lot of of fun on the day, made it to the end in a respectable time, and made some magical memories with Evie throughout the process.

All donations will go to this amazing charity and will help change the lives of children living with a critical illness.

Make-A-Wish UK grant life-changing wishes for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Sadly, the number of wish enquiries from seriously ill children with less than a year to live is rising fast. They need help to meet this urgent demand now - before it’s too late. For families with critically ill children, every day counts. Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.
