Story
Inspired by Emilia, who lost her life to sepsis aged 3 in March 2020 following an undiagnosed strep A infection, we raise money for charities important to us and awareness of sepsis, creating a lasting legacy in Emilia's name.
We aim to complete the equivalent of 6 marathons (157.2 miles) as a team as there are 6 main symptoms of sepsis.
We will be based at Stokes Bay, Gosport on Sunday 3 October and for those not doing the full marathon, will do laps of the 'Golden Mile'.
If you're interested in joining #TeamEmilia and contributing your own miles whether in person or wherever you are in the world, visit our facebook group: page https://www.facebook.com/groups/715146632699915 or email caroline.a.lopez@gmail.com and you can be added.

Emilia's wonderful nursery teachers will be giving away cakes and other refreshments in exchange for donations too.
Fundraising is at the heart of our fight against sepsis. It raises awareness, and sparks the question: “What is sepsis? In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths & unnecessary suffering through knowledge & awareness of the symptoms. It also funds our vital support work, Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing our Support Group network. We also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS. The Sepsis Trust also support people suffering from the effects of 'long-Covid'.
