Story
In March 2018, just days before her 5th birthday, we received news no family ever wants to hear. Beautiful Edith was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
It turned our world upside down. It scared us all. It's something no child should have to face.
Immediately placed on a 26 month course of chemotherapy treatment, Edith's appearance & behaviour soon changed - but her smile continued to shine through.
The strength she has shown every single day has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration to us all.
Edith's treatment ended on 4th May 2020. To celebrate how incredible she has been in taking on her own 26 month challenge, we are aiming to complete the 26 mile London Marathon, whenever London is ready.
To add to the challenge, we also completed the Cheltenham Half Marathon (13 miles) on 29th Sept & the Great South Run (10 miles) on 20th Oct!!
Three major events providing three reasons to dig deep and donate what you can to an incredible charity - Young Lives vs Cancer!
It's a charity that has helped our family immensely during this difficult time - offering counselling, guidance & specialist support, even still to this day over one year post-treatment.
When cancer strikes #TeamYoungLives helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health. For more information, visit www.clicsargent.org.uk
