Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page!
Delancey has been supporting youth charity Snow-Camp for several years and, once again, the ‘Delanski’ team is kindly asking you to support our fundraising as we take on the Alpine Challenge in February (Covid permitting). This event is Snow-Camp’s biggest annual fundraiser and so a critical one in their calendar.
Snow-Camp is an inspiring UK youth charity that gives young people from inner-city communities the opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard combined with life-skills training and mental health support. Working at indoor snow centres across the UK, they also provide qualifications and volunteering opportunities to those most in-need.
Our team of Richard Palmer, Rob Jenkins, Dan Dawe and Ailsa Turnbull will be taking on a series of winter sports activities as part of the 2022 AJ Bell Crans-Montana Marathon. Over two action-packed days we will compete within ski orienteering, biathlon, a snow shoe relay, parallel slalom racing and a team distance challenge to raise invaluable funds for the youth charity.
This year our fundraising will go directly towards funding Snow-Camp's dedicated Wellbeing Managers, who work alongside Snow Camp programme managers to support the mental health of their young people. Given the impacts of covid, these are key new roles within Snow-Camp that we are passionate to support and welcome any donations you can make to support Snow-Camp’s Wellbeing Managers.
With the uncertainty of the evolving restrictions over Christmas, Snow-Camp held back the decision to run the event until now but, thanks to the approach taken by the Swiss and Snow-Camp’s work, there are 15 teams ready to take on the Challenge and maintain this critical fundraising event.
We're inspired by the work that Snow-Camp do, so please help us help them by giving whatever you can. The more people that know about Snow-Camp, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your colleagues, friends and family.
