Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are a team of 13 who are taking on the Coast 2 Coast cycle to raise vital funds for St Cuthbert’s Hospice. Most of us work at the hospice and those who don’t are friends and family who have kindly decided to join us on this epic challenge.
With the exception of the minority it is fair to say we are definitely in the ‘novice’ bracket of cyclists meaning this challenging route will be tough!
Every penny we raise for the hospice will make the miles seem shorter and the hills seem a little less steep! If you can spare a couple of pounds we would all greatly appreciate it.
If our struggle can ensure that the hospice can provide help to those facing using the hospice services making their lives more comfortable then all the aching bums and legs will be worthwhile.
We are tackling the route over 3 days covering the below journey each day! Please feel free to come along and cheer us on!
Day 1 (Friday 3rd May) - travel from Hospice to Whitehaven. Feel free to come and wave us off!
Day 2 (Saturday 4th May) - cycle Whitehaven to Penrith
Day 3 (Sunday 5th May) - cycle Penrith to Stanhope. We have been told this day is basically one big hill!!
Day 4 (Monday 6th May) - cycle Stanhope to Tynemouth. Maybe a few celebratory drinks will be deserved in Tynemouth if you would like to join us........ if we get there ;-)
