In June Tony Kayley and Marc Fretwell will be going for a bit of a walk, up Mount Kilimanjaro, in .
Now, Marc and Tony's experience of climbing things amounts to the stairs at work. They're also not keen on heights and they've heard it can get a bit steep.
They are undertaking this daunting challenge to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care which they all hold close to their hearts, as do many other people throughout the UK. Marie Curie devotes their time to caring for terminally ill cancer patients through their nursing and hospices as well as being at the forefront of cancer research through their Research Institute. The team hope to raise as much money as they can for Marie Curie Cancer Care and that's where they’d like your help.
The target set is initially £7, 500 between them to undertake the challenge however they hope to surpass this amount. A portion of the costs will go toward funding the trip however the trekkers are keen to ensure these are covered by personal sacrifices, company sponsorship or individual funding. If the trio successfully raise this target, they will spend 7 days on the mountain braving the sub-zero temperatures and battling altitude sickness to walk for up to sixteen hours a day.
