Story
Hi everyone,
Lockdown has been tough. REALLY tough. I have battles many demons and tried to adapt and manage life as upside down as it has been and this year has been a complete write off.... So far.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust have set up a Team CF running festival to help raise funds and also it has given me an opportunity to provide some good and try and turn this year around to help those who are in a much less fortunate situation to me. I want to be able to look back on this year and say, "Despite the difficulty I had in living a normal life, I still managed to do something."
Thank you so much for supporting me and reading my little story. It is going to be a great challenge for me as I am looking to run as much as I can and hopefully break a PB or two on the way to raising money for charity.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
