Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page!

We’re all running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise funds for a sensory garden for Joseph and his housemates in Brixton.

Joseph's is a typical young man – he likes his music, girls, pubs, clubs and football. Joseph and his housemates have learning disabilities. Many of them have mobility issues which means most of the lawned garden is off limits at the moment.

A sensory garden is an area of step-free, accessible pathways, raised beds, water features, musical instruments and lots more. The area will give Jo and his housemates outdoor experiences they can’t get elsewhere. The design and layout allows them take a stimulating journey through their senses, increasing awareness of their surroundings, relieving stress, as well as attracting and supporting local wildlife.

Our target is £3,000. If we raise more, the garden gets better! Anything you can give is fantastic, thanks for your support!
