Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the BHF.  Lots of you have asked how I’m going to celebrate turning 50 this year … so in a moment of madness I signed up for the BHF L2B Charity Bike Ride.  I’m not that much of a cyclist so this is all new to me & completely terrifying ... 54 long miles to cover, with a huge great big hill right at the end. The lovely Theresa Gibson is joining Team Barker & serious training has already started.

I started supporting the BHF when my mum, Pat Poole died from a heart attack on 25th December 2014. The BHF pioneer research that transforms the lives of people living with heart problems, their vision is a world in which people do not die prematurely or suffer from heart conditions.

We'd love to have your support in helping us reach our target & get me through this enormous challenge & all the training I'm doing.  Barclays have agreed to fund match the total when (... if!!) I complete the event so even a few pounds will add up to a great total. Thanks for your support.

Love Bethany & Theresa
